I bought one of the first Air Trikes. It only took me about 5 minutes to attach it to my Flat Top. I don’t know how long it takes to take off because I still haven’t. 
I was always against the idea of a trike because I loved the freedom of foot launching but the Air Trike is so light I can hardly notice it. It makes taking off so easy no matter the altitude. It has plenty of clearance for rough ground or even hard landings. I have noticed that I can take off in less distance with the trike than without. The tires are a little soft so if you plan on using it around thorny bushes you may get a flat. I got one once from landing at the local airport but had it fixed within minutes. Good as new and I was back up in the air. I would highly recommend the trike if you still want the mobility of foot launching but enjoy the takeoff and landing of a trike along with the extra protection. If you’re in the market for a trike you can’t go wrong with this one.
